Dehydrating Marshmallows

Updated: Nov 18, 2022

Dehydrating marshmallows is one of the easier projects to try when you first begin using your dehydrator.

There is virtually no prep work to do this, all you need to do is obtain & open a bag of marshmallows!

Any size, any color & any flavor your heart desires...trust me, there are A LOT of options out there.

This time I'm replenishing my mini marshmallow stock! I can never seem to keep my jars full of these crunchy clouds of goodness. My friends are always grabbing at them to snack on.

Once dried, the marshmallows remain the same size but the consistency changes and they have the mouth feel of the ones that came in the cereals we knew as kids.

Set your dehydrator temperature between 145-155 degrees.

The mini marshmallows take about 6 hours until finished, larger ones will take more time.

Judge with your heart.

Sometimes I pull them out early so that the marshmallows have a crunchy shell and a chewy middle. It's all about your preference, have fun with it, experiment!

Once the marshmallows are done, let them cool off completely before storing them in an air tight container like a mason jar.

Now all that's left to do is to enjoy them in a cup of hot chocolate!
